A defined block of senior engineering time each month, drawn on as technical needs arise. Retained Engineering is a flexible service with no fixed schedule or role. It suits teams that have recurring technical work requiring senior input but where the volume and nature of that work varies month to month.

It involves attending architecture reviews, owning the platform roadmap for their time commitment, and contributing to engineering hiring and standards. Suited to scaling companies that need principal-level technical ownership, not an on-call service.
